Easy Street
Single · Released 20 February 2026 · Easy Street + Again
Easy Street is TJ's second single. It's a slow sultry blues lament that sits you in a dark and smoky dive bar, telling the stories of those who have found solace in turning inwards and switching off. A soaring guitar break drives a sense of need and urgency against a rhythm that's strong, slow and steady, pacing itself like it has a long night ahead.
Again is the b-side. It's a slow blues-rock song about that quiet grit and persistence that keeps us going, even when we're our own worst enemy. Sometimes just surviving is all you can do. It opens with a very simple drumbeat, the sound of footsteps walking through different landscapes one step at a time.
Loop Solitaire called them "two connected snapshots from the same late-night world."
Charted in its first week on Australian community radio — No. 4 Rock, No. 8 Country/Blues/Roots, No. 8 Metro, week ending 26 February 2026.
Not Mine
Debut single · Released 21 March 2025 · Not Mine + Drinking Man
Not Mine is TJ Howlett's debut single. It's a guitar driven blues rock anthem about growing up with a working family in a mining town, with a pumping rhythm, grungy riffs and a blistering guitar solo counterbalancing the simple vocal melody. The story is easy to follow, and you can dig into the deeper themes underneath it or just stay in the music and follow the story.
Drinking Man is the b-side. It's a stripped back blues lament about a family haunted by addiction, and the different ways they're affected by it. The rhythm is slow and brooding and gives the melody the bare minimum of support, so that every word has emotion and impact.
Groover City heard the pair the same way: "if Not Mine is the fire, Drinking Man is the slow burn."
The title track has been played more than 690 times on Australian community radio.
